north
I'm not sure why I stopped blogging when we moved North, but that's what happened. When we left LA, she was just getting her words together and didn't like to be outside. She was fiercely attached to her best friend.
Now she is 3. She talks constantly, much of it in a pleading whimper about watching shows and drinking chocolate milk, and has learned leap onto the beanbag chair in our sublet. Mostly, she's very much "a big girl." A bittersweet thing for her parents, of course.
She is still fiercely attached to her best friend, although she hasn't seen her in seven months.
She says "skited" instead of excited and "comprinter" instead of computer. She's very concerned about Captain Hook and will corner adults and ask them what they know about him.
She likes the pool, when we have a chance to go to one. Out of nowhere, she will look me right in the eye and say "mom, I miss S'Angeles."
She isn't anything that I expected, which is a general lesson of parenthood, I believe. She just told me that she really wished she could read already so she could read to herself while I work on the "comprinter."
